A 16-year-old girl who went missing early in the afternoon on Friday, Feb. 22 has been found and is safe.
Xiomari Diaz, who was last seen on Hawthorne Avenue in the city of Yonkers, has returned home and is safe, the New York State Public Safety Department said.

A 16-year-old girl has gone missing in the area and authorities are asking the public's help in locating her.
Xiomari Diaz was last seen on Hawthorn Avenue in the city of Yonkers at 12:35 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22.
Xiomari is 5-foot-5, 135 pounds with bright red dyed hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a green coat with a brown fur hood, blue jeans and black boots and is believed to be on foot.
She may be in need of medical attention, according to the New York State Missing Persons unit.
Information indicates that she may be traveling to the Bronx, according to the New York State Missing Child Alert, which was issued on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 3 p.m.
